Guanghai Wang

Doctorate Student

I am currently a Ph.D candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Department. My research interests include: Modeling and simulation of nano-particle synthesis in flames/combustion reactors and the development of mathematical/numerical tools to investigate turbulent reacting flows by performing direct numerical simulations (DNS) and large eddy simulations (LES).

Originally from a small town in the northeast of China, I got my B.S degree in mechanical engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1997. After that, I worked in Shanghai as a mechanical engineer and project manager for about four years. In the fall of 2001, I became a member of this "computational family" - the computational transport phenomena laboratory.
